Job Role:

Delta HV Ltd (DHV) is currently recruiting for 2 electrical protection and commissioning engineers with experience in new substation builds & modifications to existing substation infrastructure.

The role will include planning and carrying out commissioning testing of any plant, equipment and protection systems installed to a specific design. This includes trouble shooting, fault finding and resolving. You will also be expected to carry out value engineering at the start of the project and throughout, ensuring our clients get the best value for their money. The role will also consist of preparing testing plans (ITP) and reviewing design drawings prior to commencement of the works.

Selected candidates will be working as commissioning engineers to deliver on the commissioning of primary and secondary plant, including transformers, Indoor GIS/ outdoor switchgear and associated plant on new projects up to 132kV substations.

Qualifications:

Some sort of degree in electrical engineering.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required:

Thorough understanding of electrical power systems up to 132kV.

Candidates would be expected to hold a relevant engineering degree and likely to have some working experience as a commissioning engineer.

This is a complex field requiring high technical understanding and proficiency and will include the ability to apply practical engineering sense from first principles using a logical disciplined approach to problem solving.

Additional IT skills will allow interaction from lap top to complex modern relay schemes to programme, test, extract fault records and interpret results with a right first-time approach.

Job Role:

Due to increasing workload, Delta HV have two vacancies for experienced project supervisors. The main purpose of this role is to manage a team to achieve delivery of projects on the Delta HV portfolio framework on time, whilst adhering to safety regulations, quality standards and project specifications. The role reports to the relevant project manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple/major projects safely, competently and effectively to time and budget;
  • Manage all financial aspects of projects, including the costing and invoicing of any additional works;
  • Provide guidance to team members to ensure the safe, effective and efficient implementation of Delta HV’s operations;
  • Monitor and report on progress of work to the customer as required;
  • Provide guidance on and monitor your team’s approach to safety rules and procedures, method statements and risk assessments;
  • Liaise with third parties to ensure the smooth implementation of work;
  • Maintain site safety at all times and complete risk assessments;
  • Report any concerns regarding health & safety
  • Manage and review performance of staff reporting to you and identify training needs;
  • Conduct site safety inspections and ensure remedial actions are undertaken;
  • Ensure that all statutory records, certificates, licences, notifications and notices are in place;
  • Prepare project safe systems of work, CDM plans and risk assessments as part of the overall programme.

Requirements:

  • Experience of project supervision;
  • Knowledge of and works in the HV industry;
  • Sound knowledge of health & safety and its practical implications;
  • Sound understanding of the financial aspects of projects;
  • CDM knowledge;
  • IOSH, NEBOSH, SMSTS or other safety related qualification;
  • UKPN authorisations preferred.

Job Role:

Delta HV Ltd (DHV) are looking to recruit four experienced electricians to join our team working on a long-term contract carrying out electrical installation and repair work on sites across London, Surrey, Sussex and Kent.

The post holders will be responsible for carrying out electrical installation tasks including supply cables, electrical building services, electrical switch gear, domestic, commercial and some industrial installations.

The role will involve reactive calls, planned preventative maintenance, fault finding and repair work, signing off work and assisting the site engineers with other PPM and reactive tasks as required.

Responsible for all record keeping associated with works carried out including quality, health & safety and environmental documentation.

Reporting to supervisor, he/she will provide support in delivering service excellence and ensure all site records are compliant and up to date. All PPE, uniform, and specialised tools will be supplied.

Successful candidates would be expected to use a methodical approach to work, checking each element is complete. They should communicate well and always adhere to all company safety policies and procedures and health and safety legislation in place.

Qualifications:

  • C&G 2360 Electrical Installation parts 1&2
  • C&G 2382 17th Edition
  • Test & inspection
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Excellent fault-finding skills

Knowledge, Skills, Experienced Required

Thorough understanding of electrical power systems. Candidates would be expected to hold a relevant C&G qualification and be likely to have some working experience as an electrician in the commercial/industrial sector.
